Great range, short charge time

The battery in an AION car charges fast and performs consistently to give you far-reaching range you can depend on, day-in, day-out.

Range you can rely on

AION cars are designed to go further between charges, so everyday driving feels simpler and more relaxed. Whether it’s the 317-mile combined range of the AION V or the impressive capability of the AION UT, fewer stops and less need for charging means less planning, less range anxiety and more confidence that you can embrace wherever the day takes you.

Charging at home

Installing a charger on your property is by far the easiest way to live with an electric car. It’s also the most cost-effective and low-maintenance option, fitting into your daily routine with ease – just plug in each night and wake to a ready-to-go battery each morning.

Charging out and about

The UK’s public charging network continues to expand, with over 87,000 public charging points at most retail destinations, motorway services and car parks – pricier than home charging but ideal for longer journeys or if you happen to run low on charge while out and about. Chargers are classed as slow, fast, rapid or ultra-rapid, giving you a choice of speeds and prices to match your plans.

On-street charging

A solution designed for drivers without off-street parking, lamp-post chargers are becoming increasingly common across the UK. By converting streetlights into dual-purpose low-cost charge points, the existing streetlight infrastructure in built-up areas can be used to help electric driving fit naturally into city and town living.

Installing a home charging point

Installing a home EV charger is simpler than many people expect. Here’s how it usually works.

1. Decide where your charger is best placed

Usually wall-mounted on the outside of your home as close as possible to where you park, or in a garage.

2. Check permissions and eligibility

Homeowners can usually proceed without a problem, but if you rent or live in a flat, you’ll need your landlord’s permission.

3. Book a qualified installer

An installation typically takes a few hours. A certified EV engineer will fit your charger and talk you through how to use it.
